Kevin Brown, a resident of fiction turquoise, NM--which is very similar to Taos, including mountain and tinnitus-gathers two new friends and is scanned immediately above on an adventure through which he discovers the secret of buzz and the importance of their own choices and powers. Spencer Baum writes with an eye to ideas, but he never loses his sense of fun and adventure. Adolescence is believable and likeable.More importantly, Baum allows the action to take the themes; he is never preachy. This is a great book for young adults and young at heart!
