It seems that the whole life of authors that some pets were sleeping due to never disseminated disease, I'm inclined to believe that the finances were a factor. Some were donated only found unknown destinations (CAT ran away the day she was desistida & so-called friend didn't bother even mention it until asked) other cats were given through advertisements with no care for those who adopted (author this guilt about ex-husband), a poor cat was taken to a shelter (are you serious?!) the worst offense was creating own Pug (at 1.5 years despite!) so that she could keep a puppy! Shortly after the "creation" They gave up their shepherd "beloved" because he did not fit into their new accommodation downsized .... they maintain though .so Pugs although it seems that this book is about surviving bad relationships, those that truly need help survivors were all disposable pets of life authors. These animals were used for any comfort they supplied & easily disposed using every excuse in the book to do it when were no longer needed, or True lover of animals wanted. Vai find theses heartbreaking stories ...All this only in the first half of the book I didn't have the stomach to finish it, so I have knowledge of how many more similar targets met. This author is anything but a better to pets.

Frankly, this woman uses the ploy to be abused as an excuse for not really care for their animals. Yes, while its relatiosnhips sucked, it was never physically or mentally abused.Yes, their boyfriends were not very nice, but unlike a woman truly abused, was not being smart enough to let them she let her animals mistreated and terrorized, and I feel bad for animals with it. She has a pug with numerous health problems, and yet she refuses to help vet several times, which claims that's how she can heal naturally, but feel it is more likely for financial reasons.

All that this book is about is their maing excuses for his life.Nothing more.

5.0 out of 5 stars great reading!, January 8, 2009 what a great read! I laughed, cried, and I saw a lot of myself in the history of authors. This book is a great way to let everyone who was in a difficult relationship that they are not alone, and someone (or some dog/cat) is outside support and love.
